About the Captain

Born and raised in Maine, Pete has been fishing since age 16. He started his career on the waters of Casco Bay as a tuna spotter for the harpoon fishery. After school, Pete worked as a deckhand on a commercial tugboat on the East Coast. During this time, he learned navigation and seamanship. At age 22, he began a career as a lobsterman in Portland, Maine. Captain Pete acquired his 100-ton US Coast Guard Captain and Registered Master Maine Tidewater Guide Licenses.

Pete’s lifelong dream was to operate a charter boat (teazercharters.com) and share his passion for fishing with others. His 20+ years working on the sea have given him a wealth of knowledge about where to be and when to be there to put fish on the deck.
